HALCYON CLUB.
MONTHLY DANCE HELD. For the usual monthly dance of the Halcyon Club the Y.W.C.A. assembly hall was gaily decorated with Iceland poppies, hoho leaves and other spring flowers, and subdued coloured lights added a further touch of colour. Mrs. E. H. Robinson, president of the club, acted as hostess and was in a frock of Oriental printed satin. Mr. J. Kiff acted as master of ceremonies. During the evening Miss Veronica Barrington gave an exhibition of acrobatic dancing. Members of the committee present were Miss T. French, in white ribbed organdie and silver ribbon; Miss A. Solomon, blue angelskin satin; Miss Myrtle Gladding, cloth of silver and black tulle; Miss Marion Barr, floral and black velvet tunic; Miss M. Stanaway, lilac taffeta; Miss Mary Mackay, white satin beaute; and Miss "Margaret Mackay, pale lemon satin beaute. Others present included: Misses K. E. Bird, V. and Una Vear, Hazel Jespersen, Valerie Wiles, Fenina B,en-Poroth, Yvonne Blackmore, Muriel Smart, Jean Jones, Margaret Woolfe, C. Solomon, Xandra Atkins, M. Annett, Helen Halliday, Nancy Henderson, Alison Barr, Heather Laing, Jean Campbell, Patricia Dean, D. Totman, J. Ganley, H. Doull, R. Ashley, M. Buchanan, Jean Avenden, Barbara Hill, Margaret Thynne, M. Logan, B. Roberts, K. French, A. McEwan, Gertrude Robertson, D. Bint, Z. Whitefield, Zelma Wade, Patricia Malone, Doria Andrews and Alexina Coburn.
