THIRD BIRTHDAY.
DAISY CHAIN CLUB. 9 __ The club room was the scene of a happy gathering on Friday, when over 100 members assembled ou the occasion of the third birthday of the Daisy Chain Club. Coloured paper hats were worn by all, and the rooms were tastefully decorated, giving all a bright look. The president, Mrs. Lord, received the guests, and a beautiful luncheon was served at mid-day. A three-decker birthday cake, made by the vice-president, Mrs. Ramsay, was prettily decorated and placed on a table in the centre of the room.
A delightful programme for the afternoon was arranged by the social committee, which comprised Mesdames Hogg, jun., Gough, Home, Chalmers, Bhaw and Bose. Items were given by Airs. Beta McCulley, Stone, Mr. Jack Crawford (Wellington), Miss Amos, Aunt Jean, Friend John, Dudley Wrathall, Mrs. Bush, Mrs. Home and Mrs. Kodiwald. All artists were pre* sented with beautiful bouquets. Telegrams and verbal birthday greetings were received. The Daisy Chain choir rendered two numbers, and the oldest member, Mrs. Wallace, was presented with a bouquet.
