SYDNEY SALES FIRM. (Received 0.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. At the Sydney wool sales yesterday 11.234 hales were offered and 0994 were sold. Also 1297 bales were sold privately. There was strong competition from the Continent and Yorkshire. A special feature was the demand for spinners' wools for America and for local mills. Values were around Thursday's levels, with the demand for crossbred* and comebacks well maintained. Greasy Merino sold to 23 , /4 d.
