The annual general meeting of the New Zealand Investment Trust approved the general principle of a plan submitted by the directors of transferring the present company s liquid resources to a new company, to be then augmented with further capital for the purpose of establishing and extending the business of a commercial trust and allied activities. Messrs. »T. G. Mitchell (Masterton). B. Spencer (Auckland). E. Shields and Brown (Wellington) were appointed a committee to rejMirt to shareholders on the detailed plans of directors as and when full information was available, and to cooperate lor this purpose with any committee that might be appointed by the debenture-holders. The meeting expressed confidence in the directors and their policy.
