EMPIRE MIGRATION.

CONFERENCE IN LONDON. An indication of the active steps being taken to resume overseas settlement within the Empire is contained in the provisional agenda of the Empire Migration and Development Conference which was received by the last English mail. The conference will be held in the Guildhall, London, on October 11, 12 and 13 of this year, when it is hoped delegates from every part of the Empire will attend. The object of the conference is to discuss Imperial, social and economic aspects of Empire migration, and has the full support of bodies interested in the question in Great Britain and in Dominions abroad. Among the short addresses to be given it is interesting to note that the Rt. Hon, the \Viscount Bledisloe, will speak on "Opportunities in New Zealand." >
