PHILISTINE REVEL.
A delightful programme and dancing to excellent music comprieed the Philistine Revel on Saturday evening, which was held in the Amateur Operatic Society's Hall. The chairman for the evening was Mr. G. Chambers. A one-act play, entitled "Men Are Missing," was excellently played by Misses Peggy Craickshank, Betty BoydLeslie, Margo Grant, Marjorie Brett, Joan Gifford, Elsie Thompson, June Beale, Mary Pilkington, Daphne Mortensen, and Freda Warnock. Songs were given by Miss N. O'Connor and Mr. F. McKnight; flute duet. Messrs. Hal McLennan and Fred Hoffman; humour, Messrs. Stan Knight and Alan McElwain; quartet, Lyric Four, Messrs. Arthur Ripley, Frank Campbell, Alan McElwain and Ernest Thomas. The accompanists were Messrs. G. Aslier and R. Potter. During an interlude a presentation was made to Mr. and Mrs. J.
