CAMPAIGN FOR EMPLOYMENT.
MINISTER'S ANNOUNCEMENT

WELLINGTON, Wednesday
Plans for a Dominion-wide campaign for the finding of employment in industry for youths at present out of work, liave been announced bv the actingMinister of Labour, Hon*. P. C. Webb, based on the recommendations of an investigating committee which was appointed by a conference of employers, labour organisations, chambers of commerce, the Y.M.C..V. and others interested.
The Minister appeals to employers to co-operate with the Government in finding suitable employment for the large number of youths who, through no fault of their own, have in recent years lost their opportunity to make good in life.
The campaign will be carried out with the co-operation of the committee and the Government Placement Offices.
