CLUB ACTIVITIES.
An enjoyable evening was held by the Oamaru Social Club in the Fabian Club rooms recently. The programme , included songs by Mrs. McClennan, flute solos by Mr. McClennan, banjo duet by Messrs. M. Neil and Steel, a recitation by Master Eeece, and a Highland dance by the pupil« of Miss McEneny, accompanied by Piper Fox.
The second social of the Cheerios was held in the Patricia's dance rooms, and the president, Mrs. E. Mann, welcomed the members and friends. The soloist Was Mr. S. Andrews. Mr. Sanders was master of ceremonies. Mrs. Graham was the first speaker at the Cheerios' meeting on Tuesday afternoon, and gave a talk on her trip to Sydney. Mrs. M. Hirst spoke of the aims and objects of the People's University. She also spoke of the women's organisations' appeal to help tli:. Maoris at Orakei.
