ANNUAL BALL.
Epsom Grammar Old Girls Association.
An artistic decorative scheme of blue and gold signified the colours of the Epsom Girls' Grammar Old Girls' Association annual ball, which was held jn the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening. Silhouettes of lions rampant were used in front of each viibicie <»r.d the school badge and motto, "Per Augusta ad Augusta," was placed in front of tlie orchestral dais. Round the central pillars were fringed papers in the school colours, while further colour, was added to the scene by hundreds of quaint shaped balloons being released over the dancers from the ceiling. The supper tables had runners of blue and gold, and high crystal vases were filled with huge gold and blue flowers. Smaller vases of violets and jonquils were also used in profusion.
The hostesses were Miss A. L. I>oudon, who was wearing a gown of white satin patterned in clusters of roses, and the president of the association, Miss Margot Grant, who wore a gown of black and gold tinsel cloque and white fur coat.
The cliaperones and committee comprised: , Mrs. Noel Gibson, wearing daffodil and dark green floral cloque; Mrs. George Davidson, forest green and gold tinsel satin; Mrs. B. Walker, dusty pink floral Miss Francis Gibson, old. gold taffeta; Miss Pearl Savin, deep magnolia lace and scarlet sash; Miss Phil Keith, Marina green ■chiffon; Miss Mary Forgie, black and blue checked taffeta; Miss Grace McFlynn, blue patterned satin; Miss Joan McChesney, blue ring velvet and taffeta; Miss Mary Mcßeth, Marina green glace silk.
