DANGEROUS MEN.
(By FRANK A. GARBUTT.)
We have a lot of dangerous men in this world. Many of them are extremely dangerous to those around them and to the world at large. Others are only dangerous to themselves and their families. To which class do you belong? If you take no interest in your Government, both local and national, and do not do your part to see that it is economical and impartial, you are a dangerous man and deserve the high taxes you pay. Your cost of government is 35 per cent of your useful labour. If you had given it 10 per ceut of your thought and effort it would not cost you 10 per cent. If you have a lot of fixed ideas about how somebody else ought to be regulated for your benefit, you are a dangerous man to your fellow men, and, incidentally, to your poor wife and children. If you have a lot of ideas about getting easy money or something for nothing or taking away from others or bettering yourself without hard work you are dangerous to all concerned, including yourself. If you cannot change your- mind you are awfully dangerous, and, if you would interfere with any other human being who is tending to his own business, you are a menace.—(N.A.N.A.)
