MOTHERS' UNION

Takapuna.—The Takapuna branch of the Mothers' Union held its monthly meeting this weelc. The meeting commenced with a service held by the vicar in St. Peter's Chnrcli, with Mrs. Ellis at the organ. After the service the members adjourned to the parish hall where Mrs. Hill Johnson presided over the meeting. Visitors from the League of Mothers were the guests for the afternoon. Mrs. S. O. English, the provincial president of the League of Mothers, gave a talk 011 the "Passion Play." She was presented with a bouquet by Mirw Ann Beatrice Gibbons. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Collins, Wallace, A. Blackwell and Davis.
