TRIAL RACES FOR DEFENDER. TWO MORE RANGER VICTORIES. NEW YORK, June 6. The trial yacht races to determine the defender of the America Cup were continued on Saturday at Newport, Rhode Island. The yacht Ranger defeated Rainbow by lm 58s, over a course of 30 miles. The same yacht also defeated Yankee by 2m ss, over a 28-mile course. On Thursday Ranger beat Yankee over a 30-mile course by 5m 565. and on Friday Yankee won from Rainbow by 5m 275, when the course was 27.7 miles.
