DAFFODIL GROWER.
SIR ALGERNON THOMAS. For many years now, Sir Algernon Thomas has had the distinction of being among the select band of daffodil growers who can coax their plants to bloom before the approach of spring. This year Sir Algernon, who celebrated his eightieth birthday to-day, has had unusually happy results in his Jgarden in Mountain Road, Epsom, Six of his plants are in bloom, two of which came out on Sunday and the others during this week.
