CLUB ACTIVITIES.
A most enjoyable afternoon was spent at the Daisy Chain Club rooms yesterday afternoon, when the usual weekly meeting was held, with Mrs. Lord, president, in the chair. Mrs. Parker spoke on "What Women Can Do." Two welcome visitors in the afternoon were Mrs. Rita MacCaullay Stone and "Aunt Jean," both of whom supplied good entertainment. Items were also rendered by members of the club, Mesdames Roberts and Bush. Hostesses for the day were Mesdames Grenfell, Porteous, Carter and Outram.
Mrs. Young gave a third demonstration on the art of making flowers from wood fibre at the Cheerio Club's last meeting. Mrs. Mann, the president, presided. Mrs. Marret won the competition, which was donated by Mrs. Irvine.
In view of their coming departure for ! England, Madame Leigh ton and Miss Millard were the guests of honour at a social held by the Radiant Health Club in their club rooms this week. The evening's programme included items by Madame Leighton, Mis? Millard, Mrs. E. i Jackson. Mrs. Turner, Miss Joy Beattie ! and Master Aubrey Gibbs. The committee comprised Mesdames Barton, I Dillner, Turner, Young and Messrs. ! i Kerr, Tinson and Johnston.
