RACE ABANDONED.
ANOTHER MAY BE PLANNED. (Received 2 p.m.) PARIS, May 21. The plan for a transatlantic air race, announced to be held in August to mark the centenary this year of Lindbergh's first solo crossing of the Atlantic in 1927, has been irrevocably abandoned.
However, there is a possibility of its replacement with another international race, for which the prize money has been earmarked.
