AUSTRALIAN M.LC.'S TRIBUTI "CREDIT TO MANAGEMENT." Among recent visitors from oversea who found much to praise in the Nev Zealand railways was Mr. E. H. Angelo M.L.C., of West Australia. When h< wag interviewed on his return to Pertl bv a representative of the "Westen Mail," he remarked that "New Zealam seemed to be progressing at a veri rapid rate." Here are some extract: from the report: — "There was building activity ii every centre he visited, and the railway system was being enlarged considerably New Zealand possessed 3300 miles o railway, and although the gauge wa only 3ft Cin. the same as in West Aus tralia, the carriages there were the nios comfortable he had ever seen. Train used on the principal routes carried ai observation car equipped with adjust able easy chairs, and the sides of th. carriages were practica'ly all glass giving an uninterrupted view of point of interest pasted. The railway official vied with one another in paying atten tion to tourists, seldom failing to poin out scenic attractions. I "The trains, as far as his experienc went, were never behind time, and th whole system was a credit to the man agement. He had brought back wit him photographs, specifications and blu prints of the Dominion's latest rail-cari which he intended giving to the Com missioner of Railways. The cars wer built in the New Zealand railway work shops. ( "He visited many popular touxis resorts, and was charmed with the mom tain and other scenery.
