AUCKLAND RESPONSE. STEADY CONTRIBUTIONS. AGGREGATE OVER £15,000. The subscription lists opened by the Mayor of Auckland. Sir Ernest Davis, and the two Auckland newspapers, for the King George V National Memorial Fund have now reached £15.200. Steady contributions were made during the week by office staffs and members of trade unions. It has been pointed out that the camps will be available for children irrespective of the social position or station in life of their parents, and country children will be on an equal footing with the children in the cities.
