FINAL RAILWAY LINK. DARGAVILLE TO AUCKLAND. (From Our Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, Friday. An intimation was given to a deputation by the Minister of Public Works the Hon. R. Semple, to-day, that Cabinet had decided that a start should \ be made with the completion of th€ , railway from Kirikopuni to Dargavillc as the final link with the railway ser- , vice to Auckland, and north to Don • nelly's Crossing. Mr. Semple explained that the Publi< Works Department was ready to proceec ■with the job, but was awaiting a decisioi : in respect to a railway station site a 1 • Dargaville involving the question o: level crossings. It was considered advis able to eliminate five crossings if pos i sible. A decision from the Railwa] Department was expected at ani moment. i As soon as finality was reached th> work would begin.
