BALMORAL PROCESSION. CORONATION CELKBRATIONS. The Coronation procession organised by the Balmoral Business Men's Association as part of the Mount Eden Coronation ceTebratlons last evening attracted a crowd of several thousands. So dense was the traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular, that it was necessary for extra police to co-operete with traffic officers in controlling the big crowd. Headed by two colour parties and the Balmoral Boys' Band, over 200 boy scouts and cubs, girl guides, members of the boys' brigade and girls' life guards formed a spectacular procession. Decorated floats included "Britannia end the Dominions," "Peace," an illuminated battleship, and a dragon, all built by the boys and girls. A minstrel troupe on a decorated lorry enlivened the proceedings. After the procession Mr. A. S. Richards, M.P. for Roskill, congratulated the shopkeepers on their progress and enterprise, and referred to the fact that Balmoral was the first shopping area tc install community lighting. The procession, he said, was another instance oi the community's progressive spirit. Mr. Richards congratulated the boy scouts and girl guides on their ingenuity.
