Wives of three former GovernorsGeneral of New Zealand—the Countess Jellicoe, Lady Alice Fergusson and the Viscountess Bledisloe—are issuing invitations to New Zealanders to attend an "At Home" on May 24.
CORONATION CROWNS. AUSTRALIA'S BIG PROFIT. CANBERRA, April 28. The Commonwealth Government announces that new Australian five-shilling pieces will be introduced in the coinage on May 10 to mark the Coronation. Between 600,000 and 800,000 crown pieces will be issued at a cost of about 2/6 each to the Commonwealth, which will thus gain considerable revenue.
DUTCH HEIRESS. CORONATION DELEGATION. (Received 2 p.m.) THE HAGUE, April 28. Crown Princess Juliana and her sort, Prince Bernhard, will leave for the Coronation on May 9. BAN FROM CANADA. " CORONATION COMMENTARY." (Received 2 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 28. The Customs Department has been ordered to hold the American edition of "Coronation Commentary," pending Cabinet decision. The Duke of Windsor is said to have issued a writ, through his London solicitor, for alleged libel against the publishers and author.
