NEW TRAFFIC BRIDGE.

OVER RAILWAY CROSSING.

WORK NEAR ROTORUA

ROTORUA, this day.

A commencement will be mad£ ' this week upon the construction of the new concrete overbridge over the level crossing at Koutou, on the outskirts of Rotofua.

The bridge will be 140 feet in length, built in three spans, and will give employment to approximately thirty men for several months.

It is hoped to complete the work during the winter months, in order to avoid a dislocation of holiday traffic. The construction of a road deviation to carry traffic while the bridge is being built will be necessf.rv.

The Public Works Department recently completed the construction of a similar ovetbridge at Tarukenge, ten miles beyond Koutou.
