NEGRO FILM ACTOR.
INJURED IN CAR SMASH. (Received 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 26. Stepin Fetchit, negro film comedian, is ill hospital here with a head injury, believed to be a fracture of the skull. A motor car which he was driving struck "a pillar of the elevated railway after a tyre "blow-out." Fetchit was unconscious when removed from the wreckage. His condition is described as "fair."
