CROQUET CLUBS.

MOUNT EDEN.

Mrs. Mullinp, president of the Mount Eden Croquet Club, entertained meml>er<s ami friends with bridge and a "Coronation'' afternoon tea, and during afternoon tea presented I>ouqnets to Nfrs. McNab. Mayoress, and Mr*. MoOill. president of the association. Mrs. Parraiit, winner of the C button, woe given a cup. saucer and plate from the members. The members also presented Mrs. Mulling with a dressing table set in appreciation of her kindness during the year. Winners of bridge wore: -Mrs. Cornps (1). Mrv. Fnedley (hidden number), and Mis* fWpwpil (consolation).

ONEHUNGA. The Onchungn Croquet Club hold an At Home on the lawn, when players were present from the Mount Holison. Epsom. Mangpie Central. Mount Albert, Keiniiera, Carlton, Ilillsboro and Mangerc East Clubs. The unfavourable weather made croquet impassible and bridge and a five hundred tournament were played. Mrs. Bray, president, welcomed visitors and friends and presented prizes to the following:—Bridge Mrs. S. Hardley, Mrs. H. J. Bray. Mis. M. Brown; five hundred, Mrs." A. F. Hick man; competition*. Mm. II J isnv and Mrs. R. Xiiholls.

MONT LE GRAND. The members of the Mont Iμ Grand Croquet Club held a progressive afternoon to mark the closing of the season. The president of the chib, Mrs. W. J. Scott, congratulated the A team on again winning the Auckland Association's Shield for the fourth time. The club's trophies were presented to the winners:—A championship, Mrs. W. C. Thomson; B, Mrs. Taylor; C. Miss li'iley; Di-nninnn dip. Mr. Smith; haiuli--np singles, Mrs. Sessions; doubles, Mrs. 'liMinas and Ji>tcrnian. During the afternoon tea a beautiful rystal bowl was presented to the presiIcrit from the member* for all her kindnesses during 1 the reason. Mrs. W. C. Thomson, secretary, \va« presented with a croquet mallet suitably inscribed from the members. Both ladies suitably replied and thanked the members for their generosity.
