The Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, has advised the Auckland City Council that at the expiration of two years it will be appointed the sole examining authority for motor vehicles for the city. The Government, of courae, added the Minister, would retain the right to examine any vehicle where, it -was thought desirable.
