Admiral Clement Greatorex died yesterday on board the liner Tamaroa, whir 1 ! left Wellington for London on Marci. 2. He was buried at eea. A daughter, Mrs. Gordon Waddel, lives in Wellington. The late admiral's widow and another daughter live in England.

Four naval posts of importance were held bv Admiral Greatorex. These were. Naval" Assistant to the Third Sea Lord and Director of Xaval Equipment (191317); senior naval officer in the Shetland Islands 1917-1919); and officer commanding the Portsmouth Division of the Reserve Fleet (1919-21). He was A.D.C. to the King in 1917, and was placed on the retired list in 1922. He spent his declining years in residence at the famous "Admirals' Row," Lymington, near Portsmouth.
