PEOPLE'S HEALTH.
The monthly meeting of the People's Health Society was held in their clubroom, 321, Victoria Arrade, when Mrs. M. M. Dreaver, J.P., presided. It was proposed to hold a dietetic lecture and social evening early in April, the lectures to be given by prominent doctors.
The secretary reported that a reply had been received from the Minister of Railways, the Hon. 1). (J. Sullivan, in answer to the society's letter inquiring if a day nursery and rest room for women and children travelling by trains could not be established at the Auckland railway station. The Minister, in his reply, said that he would give the matter his full consideration and will forward his decision later.
A resolution was passed that a diet kitchen be installed in the Mental Hospital so as to provide special food for those patients suffering with nerves and other bodilv ailments.
