QUEEN OF SONG. QUESTION OF OWNERSHIP. DECISION OF JOCKEY CLUB. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The question of the ownership of Queen of Song, which was raised during the recent Dunedin Cup meeting, was further considered by the committee of the Duneclin Jockey Club, when it was unanimously resolved: "That documents inspected by the committee, including statutory declarations, show that Queen of Song is owned solely by P. T. Hogan. and that no other person is directiv or indirectly connected with the ownership or the mare's stake earnings." RESTRICTIONS LIFTED. RACING AT SPORTS MEETINGS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PA EHO A. this clay. Restrictions hitherto applying to the running of horse races at other than regular race meetings have now been lifted, and henceforth it will not be necessary for such events to be started as "novelty" events, with the rider having to saddleup or run a distance before mounting. The Kerepeehi Sports Association, which has conducted horse events under "novelty" condition* for many years at its meeting on Easter Monday, recently sent a deputation to tKe Minister of Interna 1 Affairs. It pointed out the danger to horses and riders of the "novelty" starts. Mr. J. Thorn, M.P. for Thames, who introduced the deputation, has now advised the association that the Minister had discussed the matter with officials of the Racing Conference, and as a result the association would receive a license enabling it to run its horse events with out any starting restriction.
