WOMEN'S PROGRESS CLUB.
A good attendance of the ladies of the Women's Progress Club met on Wednesday afternoon for the usual weekly meeting at the Higher Thought Centre. Mrs. Chas. Dickens presided. Beinjr members' afternoon, the varied programme arranged by Mrs. Pearee, vicepresident, was carried out by them. Aunt Jean of IYA was the speaker for the afternoon, and gave a very interesting travel talk on Australia. Opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Mrs. Chambers, who leaves shortly on a trip to U.S.A., and a beautiful cut glass scent spray was presented to her by the club, and a beautiful bouquet presented by Mrs. Pearee. Mr. W. Young and Mrs. G. Sturgess were the soloist*, and Mrs. W. Beniams was the piano accompanist. A reading was also given oil "How to Grow Old Gracefully."' The Temple stringed orchestra played throughout the afternoon. The hostesses were Mesdanies Green. Pc-ve: ick. Hubbert. and lYarce. Community sin-ring and a i dainty afternoon te;j closed a happy I afternoon.
