limitation of hours. A resolution restricting the hours during which milk can he delivered in r< Auckland Metropolitan Milk t-ouncil s area was adopted at a meeting of the council yesterday. The chairman, Mr. I. J. Goldstine, reporteo that the regulation had been drafted following conferences with all sections of the trade concerned and that the new hours had already been adopted voluntarily. No complaints liad been made and it seemed to lie operating satisfactorily. The regulation, which comes into operation on March IS, requires that there shall be no delivery of milk or cream, except to a vendor, before 2.30 a.m. on any day; that no milk or cream shall be delivered (except to a vendor) 011 a Friday, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve or a bank holiday after 8 p.m., or on any other day after 4 p.m. (except in a quantity of not less than Ave gallons to any purchaser) ; and that there shall be no delivery to any private 'dwelling house after 8.30 a.m.
