HUNG FROM BRIDGE.
SINGLE MAN BEFORE COURT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. Seen hanging from the high level bridge over the Waikato River at Cambridge, Charles Ernest Cameron (30>, single, appeared in the Police Court this morning charged with attempted suicide and with being drunk. On the major charge he was remanded for a week, and on the drunkenness charge he was convicted and discharged.
At 6.30 last night a man saw Cameron climb over the outer rail of the bridge and hang over the waters 80ft below. A passer-by rushed uj> and spoke to Cameron who climbed back on to the bridge.
The police stated to-day that drink was Cameron's trouble.
