TOKOROA FIXTURE.
FINE DISPLAY OF DRAUGHTS. JERSEYS ALSO PROMINENT. I (From Our Own Correspondent.). PUTARURU, Wednesday. The fifth annual show- of the Tokoroa Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held to-day. Entries were a record, but owing to continuous rain from early morning the gate takings were down about 40 per cent. The outstanding feature of the show was again the draught horse section, which attracted no less than 84 entries. This is a bigger number than is usually paraded at larger shows, and the judge commented that the quality was also there. The other outstanding sections were Jersey and grade heifer cattle and calf club exhibits. Th? ring events attracted considerable attention, the main jumping competition being won by Eastertime, a horse that has won numerous events. The awards were: — CHAMPION-SHU'S. Bull, all breeds : J.
