RAIN AFFECTS ATTENDANCE. THE LIST OF AWARDS. (From Oar Own Correspondent;) WEI/LSFORD, this day. Although the gate receipt* showed a drop, the attendance at the Wellsford A. and P. Society's twenty-first show yesterday was considered good, in view of the adverse weather conditions. There was a splendid entry of horses, especially in the jumping and hunting events. The performances of the competitors in the ring were surprisingly good. Visitors included the Rt. Hon. .7. G. Coates, M.F., and Mr. A, J. Murdoch, chairman of the Dairy Board. The shield for the best court exhibited by a women's institute was won by Wellsford with 179 points, with Port Albert second with 178 points. The awards were:— CHAMPIONSHIPS. Jersey Cow.—L. J. Smith.
