Afr. C. J. Nathan returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited. The Hon. (i. K. Hunter, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. ('. C. Davis, of the Davis Gelatine Company, Ltd., Sydney, was an arrival at Wellington by the Awatea. Messrs. K. C. Bridgens and M. (i. Pe/.aro are attending a s(x>cial meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Conference in Wellington. Lord Balfour of Burleigh, a director of the National Bank of New Zealand, Ltd.. will arrive in Auckland to-morrow for a short visit. Mr. T. McNab,' Mayor of Mount Kden, is a patient in a private hospital. It is hoped that lie will l»e able to resume his duties in about a fortnight. The Kev. John T. Hiekson, of Taurnarunui, was ordained priest this morning at St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, by the Kt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato. Mr. A. Bakker, general manager for Australia and New Zealand of the Royal Packet Navigation Company, Ltd., leaves 011 his return to Sydney this afternoon by the Awatea. The Rev. A. (i. Dawson, vicar of St. (ieorge's Church, Thames, who will shortly leave for Kugland, will be succeeded by the Rev. S. B. R. Corbin, vicar of Orniondville, Hawke's Bay. Mr. (Jlion Curtis, of Webster Groves, Missouri, the newly-appointed Vice Consul for the I'uited States in Wellington. is a pasenger by the Monterey, which will arrive In Auckland on Friday. Dr. Neil McDougall, chairman of the medical staff of the Auckland centre of the St. John Ambulance Association, has been elected to 'lie executive committee in place of the late Dr. R. Tracy-Inglis.

Snedden, a selector of t New Zealand cricket team which is tour England, returned to Aucklai this morning by the Limited from t South, where he was a sjiectator of t Canterbury-Otago cricket match. Mr. K. A. Callanan, chairman a! managing direr'or. of the Vacuum C Proprietary of Australasia, will j>a through Auckland on the Monterey Friday, on his return to Melbourne fri a visit to New York and England. Mr. Theo L. Hall, of Manila, vi< president and assistant-general umna; of the PhilippTiie Long Distance Te phone Company, arrived in New Zealand bv the Marama. and will attend the International Rotary Conference, which will oj»eri in Wellington on March 2. He will later s[K>nd a month touring the Dominion. Lord Kanfurly, aide-de-camp to the Covernor-Ceneral of Australia, Lord Cowrie, and a grandson of the late Lord Ranfurly, former (iovernor-fleneral of New Zealand, has arrived in Wellington from Australia. Ixird Ranfurly expects to aj>end a month's furlough in the Dominion, and after fishing nt Taupo will visit the South Island for a short visit. Later he intends to engage in deep-sea angling in the North.
