TRANSPORT LICENSES.
EAST COAST ITINERARY
The No. I Transport Licensing Authority, Mr. E. J. Phelan, will leave Auckland on the morning of March 3 on an extended tour of the Bay of Plenty and East Coast districts, where sittings will be held as follows: Tauranga, March 3, 4 and 5; Wairoa, March 8 and 9; Gisborne, March 10, 11 and 12; Ruatoria, March 16; Opotiki, March 19; and Whakatane; March 22.
During the tonr, Mr. Phelan -will make an inspection of roads in the districts visited if time permits. He expects to return to Auckland from Whakatane on March 22. Mr. Phelan, who will be accompanied by Mr. R. H. Nicholls, district officer to the Transport Department, immediately after the Easter vacation wiu hold sittings in Waikato and Ifing Country districts. Later it will be necessary for him to hold a series of sittings in North Auckland for the purpose of finalising applications for licenses at present awaiting hearing.
