TAUMARUNUI RAM FAIR. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Tuesday. Considerable interest was taken by farniers in tlie ram fair to-day, and although the yarding exceeded 400 the majority of the rams were disposed of before the sale concluded. The imported and local-bred rams were in splendid condition and realised good prices. ~ Down country breeders were well represented and had it not been for the fact that the vendors were prepared to meet the market the bidding might have been less brisk. Mr. E. C. Whitelock, Feiiding. topped the market for three-shear Romney rams, Mr. H. L. G. Forlong, Piriaka. paying 37%gs for a very nice animal. One-shear flock rams made up to IP/tgs and twoshear flock rams sold up to ll%gs. Following are some of the prices:— Southdowns.
