MAORI ACQUITTED.
After a retirement of only ten minutes the jury at the Supreme Court yesterday, hearing the charge preferred against Kabmangi Karikari, a Maori, of unlawful carnal knowledge of a Maori aged 13 years and nine months, returned a verdict of not guilty. The case was heard before Mr. Justice Fair, Mr. V. R. Meredith appearing for the Crown and Mr. Hci for the. accused.
