NEW ZEALAND DAY.

MR. JORDAN TO BROADCAST. (Received 1.30 p.m.) ' LONDON, February 4. To mark New Zealand Day, which will be celebrated in London on Monday, the High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, will give an Empire broadcast at 8.30 a.m. (Greenwich mean time) on Saturday, approximately 8.30 p.m. (New Zealand time).

The director of station IYA, Mr. A. F. O'Donoghue, said this morning that so far no official advice had been received in Auckland concerning Mr. Jordan's broadcast; but instructions to prepare for a re-broadcaet might come at short notice. The speech, he pointed out, was not to be given until the 6th, which gave time yet for instructions to > be received.
