ABOVE THE EARTH.
Discovery of New Electrical Regions. IMPORTANT TO TELEVISION. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 4. Mr. R. A. Watson Watt informed the Royal Society of his discovery of three new electrified atmospheric regions between five and 40 miles above the earth. He says they explain why television transmission reached greater distances than was expected, namely, 50, instead of 25 yiiles. It is described as one of the most important discoveries of recent years.
