* » OFFENCE ADMITTED. BUTCHER BEFORE COURT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Vineenzo Serci, aged 29, a butcher, of Island Bay, was charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with keeping a common gaming house, and with accepting totalizator odds on ten occasions between January 10 and 30. Evidence was submitted of police visits to place bets. A plea of guilty was entered to the betting charges, and not guilty to keeping a common gaminohouse. e ~ The hearing has not yet finished.
