WEDDINGS.

HARVEY—DAVIS. Pink, lavender and blue hydrangeas and giant phlox decorated St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, for the wedding last evening of Miss Mary Madeline Davis, eldest daughter of Mrs. M. A. Raitia, of Rarotonga, to Mr. Lan Alexander Harvey, second son of Mr. and Mre. William Harvey, of Stanley Bay. The Rev. R. L. Connolly performed the ceremony and Mr. Morton presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Mr. J. B. Donald, wore a charming gown of ice-white hailstone stiffened net. Tho elender-fitting bodice was fashioned with two lapels on the shoulders, and the puffed sleeves were shirred to the elbow. The skirt was very bouffant, and the train Was inset with shirring from below the waistline. The chaplet, which held the exquisite Brussels lace veil in place, was composed of two large flowers, and narrow trails of orange blossom buds, and she carried a large shower bouquet of gold and cream daisies. Four bridesmaids, clad in hailstone starched tulle, attended her. They were the Mieaes Bobby Marriner, Vonnie Henderson, Clare Danby" and Pat Halliday. Their frocks had tight-fitting bodices with medici collars and short puffnd sleeves.- The skirts were very full from the waistline and had the new bustle effect at the back. Their headdresses comprised three fresh large-sized flowers, and they completed the charming ensemble carrying armlets of gold flowers and traillers of light greenery, which fell to the end of their skirts. The first two maids were in pale daffodil and the latter pair in water-lily green. Mr. William Wright was best man and Mr. Tom Davis groomsman. After the service a reception was held at the Domain Kiosk. Mrs. F. W. Skeet received the guests wearing a cornflower blue taffeta, a darker eilk coat and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of dark red carnations. Mrs. Harvey (mother of the bridegroom), wore a frock of palma violet crepe satin, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of pastel-toned blooms. Mrs. R. K. Woollams (grandmother) was in floral moracain, short fur coat and hat to match; Mrs. W. Main (sister), white and scarlet organdie and dainty headdress; Mrs. W. Harvey, jun., black suede with cire cloque coat and toque; Mies May Harvey (sister), marina green and silver threaded cloque, smart green tulle turban; Mrs. W. Rolfe (aunt), nut brown patterned silk chiffon and small hat; Mrs. J. B. Donald, black georgette gown and black hat. •Ushers at the Church were:—Messrs Peter Porter, Malcolm Fraser, Rolf and Ron Bueh. LINDESAY—ORBELL. At St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, the marriage took place last evening of Miss Myree Orbell, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Orbell, of Balmoral Road, Mount Eden, to Mr. Cyril Lindeeay, youngest eon of Mre.'Thomas Lindesay of Parnell. Archdeacon MacMurray presided. Wearing a lovely gown of ivory satin, the bride entered the church on the arm of her father. The frock, which had a round yoke and long tight-fitting sleeves, was most effective in its simplicity, pearl beading adding an attractive touch. The veil, which was an old family one, was of Limerick lace, beautifully embroidered, and was caught to the head with orange blossom and lily of the valley. A bouquet of dahlias in golden ehades was carried. Attending the bride were two bridesmaids. Misses Joyce Orbell and Inez Gumming. Their ankle-length frocks were of gold satin and had short puffed sleeves and saehes of a deep tfreen taffeta. Around their heads were wreaths of real flowers and bouquets of gold rosea were carried. Supporting the bridegroom were Mr. Jack Lindesay (Whangarei), as best man, and Mr. Dennis Lindesay, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Overseas League rooms, where gold flowers, continuing the colour scheme, made attractive decoration. Mrs. Orbell received her gueete wearing a frock of black georgette with silver trimmings. She carried a posy in primrose tints. Mre. Lindesay, the bridegroom's mother, wore a- frock of black and her bouquet was of carnations and roses.
