BOOKSELLERS MEET.
The Associated Booksellers of Xew Zealand held their annual conference jn Christchurch. Mr. B. E. H. Whiteombe presided, and the following officers were elected:—President, Mr. B. E. H. Whitcombe (Christchurch), re-elected; immediate past president, Mr. G. H. Bennett (Palmerston North); vice-presidents, Messrs. H. E. Pither (Masterton), J. W. Kealy (Auckland). A. J. Coveney (Christchurch), R. C. O'Connor (Wellington), Foster Brook (Hastings), T. Adams (Gisborne), C W. Poynter (Wanpanui), K E. Marsden (Napier); council. Messrs. J. Walker (Auckland), J. King (Hokitika), T. M. Avery (New Plymouth!, L. G. Lowry (Otaki), D. i Millar (Invercarjrill), J. Bryce (Timaru), Gordon Bennett (Palmerston North), A. Gi Smith I (Dnnedin), J. Gardner (Stratford), E. V. Chaffey (ChriatchurV-h), H. C. South, H. W. Osborn, L. D. H. Whitcombe, C. A. Innes and A. Ackroyd (Wellinjrton); honorary auditor, Mr. H. W. The Chrietchnrch Retail Booksellers' Association was thanked for its hospitality, and it was decided to hold the next annual conference in Wellington. ,
