INSPECTION OF HIGHWAY.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Tuesday. The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, visited the Manawatu district to-day. He is inspecting the main Paltncrston North-Wellington highway from here to Shannon in order to decide whether that route should be taken over as a State highway, or a new route should he made through the Makerua Plains.
