VICTORIAN POLICE.
COMMISSIONER APPOINTED
(Received 9.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Chief Inspector Alexander Duncan, of Scotland Yard, was last night appointed Chief Commissioner of the Victorian Police for five years, at a salary of £1250 per annum.
