ROYAL WEDDING.
American Film Confiscated by
German Police.
FRICTION NOT ENDED.
(Received 1 p.m.)
BERLIN, January 8,
Hopes that friction had ended between Holland and Germany were somewhat dashed by a police confiscation to-day on "political grounds," of copies of a film of- the Dutch Royal wedding, taken by an American film company.
No further explanation was given. The company had invited members of the Dutch colony in Berlin to a private screening on Sunday.
NIGHT OF REVELRY.
Dutch Celebration of Wedding of
Princess.
PRINCE TO WORK IN OFFICE.
THE HAGUE, January 8.
All Holland last night was given over to revelries in celebration of Princess Juliana's wedding. Dense crowds of people sang and danced in the streets.
The Royal couple slipped out of the Palace gates at 5.30 p.m. unnoticed by the thousands of enthusiasts who were waiting outside. It is understood that the bride and bridegroom have gone to Queen Willielmina's Palace at Hetloo, whence they will proceed to Igls, a famous winter sports centre in N the Tyrol. Finally, they will tour in England and Scotland.
Holland is pleased at the Prince's expressed wish to return to work in the office of a trading company in Amsterdam after the honeymoon.
