DR. A. C. OWEN.
The death lias occurred at his residence, Newtral Pay, Svdnev. of Dr. \. Cameron Owen. M.8.. Ch.B. (Edinburgh), at the of G.l years. Dr. Owen was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. CI. W. Owen, of Shelly Beach Road, Ponsonbv. He was educated at Or. McArthurs College, Auckland, proceeding to Edinburgh to take his medical course in IS!M>. Towards the end of his studies he was one of the students chosen to go to the African War with the Edinburgh Hospital Corps. Dr. Ow*n returned to Xew Zealand in 1004. and pactised his pro fession in Ponsonbv, and later at Mount Eden and Lower Hutt. In 1013 he married Miss Gwladys Meadowcroit, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank -Meadoweroft, of Wellington. Durin<* the Great War Dr. Owen served with the Medical Corps at Trentham. bein~ there during the 1918 epidemic. OwiniT to ill - health Dr. Owen went to Australia in 1922 and practised for some vears at Gnndagai, New South Wales. He leaves a widow and two daughters, Miss (•wynne and \ a Ida Owen, two sisters. Airs. Hughes-Jones and Mrs. H. U Maddox. of Auckland, and two brothers, Mr Colin Owen, of Seattle, U.S.A., and Mr' w. Li. Owen.
