The Ujtida.- Steam Ship Company announces that-' it:-.has placed an order with Alexander ;Stephen and Sons, of Glasgow* for two specially-designed cargo vessels.one being for the New Zealand coal and timber trade and the qthet?>.for the Launceston-New South Wales' general cargo trade. •• Tlie foriner-. vessel will be a single screw, coal burner 0f'2500 tons, with a speed of 11' knots, and the latter a single screw Diesel motor vessel of 2370 tons gross, and a speed of 12 knots.
