CONCERT AT PRISON.
The New Year was celebrated at the Auckland Prison yesterday morning by a concert given under the auspices of the Presbyterian Social Service Association, under the direction of Madame Dunn and Mr. A. Harablin. The following contributed items:—Madame Dunn, Mrs Ernest Asher, Mrs. C. D. Simpson, Mrs. *-. Boyle, Misses Gladys Stormont, Aldwyth Dunn, Patricia Boyle, Beatrice Balfe, (H.M.S. Philomel), "Friend John," Jack De Hose and the Diggle Family Orchestra Oift sweets from Heard's, Ltd., were diswjbuwd to all the women and men in.
