THREE CENTURIES.
WICKET-KEEPER IN FORM.
FAST BOWLER ALSO BATS WELL. In the Wellington senior cricket competition on Saturday, not only were tliore three centuries, but one was recorded by a wicket-keeper and another by a fast bowler. J. K. Blandford, a wicket-keeper, in the running for a position in the New Zealand teiiin to England, scored 138 for 'Varsity against Wellington College Old Boys,, whose captain. .T. K. Lamason, last year led the Plunket Shield eleven and ran up a threefigure score against Auckland.
Cvril Parsloe (143), Wellington's fust bowler, and Kice (12!! not out), the Kilbil'nie opening batsmen, both compiled centuries for Kllblrnle against Karori. It is not often a side starts with two centuries, but at the Basin Reserve in January, 1930, .Tack Mills and Stuart Dempster did so for New Zealand against Harold Gillignn's M.C.C. team in the second Test. It was Jack's first appearance, too, in an international contest.
