INDIAN' LEGISLATION. BOMBAY, November 1. Estimates of the final figures in tlic electoral rolls for the new legislatures from various provinces suggest that the number of voters likely to exercise their franchise will considerably exceed anticipations at the time of the delimitation of constituencies. The co-operation of political parties with the authorities in ensuring that the electoral rolls are as complete as possible has been excellent, and a gratifying feature of the preparation of rolls 111 most provinces lias been the interest of Indian women, who have generally shown eagerness to cia'm the votes conferred upoja then; by the Government of India Act.
j Women's organisations throughout the country have worked hard. Among' the resolutions for the All-India Women's Conference to be heM in December is one claiming the inclusion of women in the new provincial Cabinets.
