METHODIST WOMEN.

CHRISTMAS TREE CARNIVAL,

A Christmas tree carnival was held by the Papakura Methodist Women's Guild last evening in aid of church funds. The hall was decorated with a profusion of streamers and the Christmas tree with coloured lights, which was loaded with toys. The president, Mrs. Perry Taylor, was presented with a bouquet by little Shirley Ravnor.

Those in charge of various stalls were: Christmas tree. Mesdames Perry Taylor, Bryant and J. Milliken; work, Mesdames T. M. Piaynor and L. Sweed; cake, Mesdames G. Markwick and Webb: surprise packets, Mesdames Clarke and G. Blank; sweets and bran tub, Bible class and tennis club members; supper room, Mesdames G. Buchan, I. Barnes, Tunnicliffe and Piatt; art gallery, Messrs. F. Jones, D. Evans, and W. Milliken; boxes, Mesdames R. Fast and Blair; Father Christmas, Mr. M. Kemp.
